He prepareth a table for me

Hello!

Last Sunday we had a dinner appointment with a member and their daughter, she’s 11, invited her friend to church and dinner with us that day. Her parents are less active members of the church, and we were able to meet her for the first time! The members set up a time for us to go over and talk with her family, and so we went over this week to meet her mom, her brother, and her sister. We taught them the Restoration, they all loved us, and asked us to come back. We went back last night and talked to them about the Book of Mormon and read some of it with them. All the kids loved it and were fighting for the chance to read a verse. It was cool to see their mom loving how actively the kids were engaged and beaming when her kids bore their testimony of prayer and experiences they’ve had when they felt the Spirit as they’ve served someone or read the Bible or prayed. I love teaching kids–they are so happy and eager to learn and so ready to feel and recognize the Spirit.

Look who I found! We had a great combined zone conference this week where I found two of my friends from Valdosta :) Sister Szilagyi (on the left) and Sister Jeppson (on the right)!

“Looking for a lifeguard? Ours walks on water” Church of God Martinez

Hello from beautiful and sticky Augusta!

Temperatures and humidity are rising here–to put it in a nice way, every time we walk out the door it’s like nature gives us a nice hot wet hug :)

My beautiful companion turned one! She hit her year mark on the 10th :) We were able to focus this week on a part member family. The mother was baptized four months ago, but her son and daughter were very against the church at the time. We’ve been visiting them, and her daughter has been reading the Book of Mormon and praying about it! She came to church yesterday and told her mom that she really likes our church–that she feels happier in her moms church than in hers.  We’ve been watching the full length Restoration movie with them her 19 year old son enjoyed it and felt the spirit. There are miracles happening in that house :)

We’ve been able to see so many miracles this week! The members have been helping us so much and we have been able to experience so many blessings :)

I love you all!

Little miracles

Hello hello!

Little miracles of this week:

1) We went to visit an investigator who we haven’t been able to get in contact with  and it was kind of a do-or-die lesson. We knocked on her door, and she let us right in. We talked with her for a little bit, and found out she had read until Alma in the Book of Mormon in the two weeks we hadn’t seen her! (Alma is about halfway through) :)

2) Went over to a member’s home for dinner and when we sat down, they told us all the people they had been working with and gave us five referrals. They have a nine-year old and an 11 year old, and they are both fantastic. The 11 year old had been inviting her friend to church for a couple weeks now and each time they didn’t come, so earlier that day she broke down crying because she wanted her friend to come so badly, and  the 9 year old asked us for some passalong cards to hand out because he needed more–he had already given out the ones we gave him in primary :) A promised picture from the cookout Sister Spencer had right before transfers:
